D.C. Police Hunt for Getaway Vehicle After ATM Break-In

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Detectives from the Second District are asking the public for help locating a vehicle involved in a recent ATM theft.

The incident took place on Monday at 3:00 a.m., where a suspect forcibly opened an ATM on the 4900 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest, D.C. and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled in a vehicle.

This vehicle was caught on surveillance cameras at the scene.

The police urge anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information about the incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or to text a tip to the Department’s text tip line at 50411. Authorities advise against approaching the suspect and recommend contacting law enforcement directly.
