D.C. Police Investigating Deadly Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast Washington on Wednesday evening is under investigation.

The incident took place at approximately 6:58 p.m. on August 28 in the 5000 block of H Street, Southeast. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an adult male who was unconscious and not breathing, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by D.C. Fire and EMS, but despite all lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Kwesi Miller, who had no fixed address.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
