D.C. Police Make Arrest In Armed Carjacking

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Carjacking Task Force of the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that took place on June 23rd in Northeast D.C.

The incident occurred around 6:00 pm in the 1600 block of New York Avenue. The suspects confronted the victim inside an establishment, brandishing a handgun and demanding their property. After taking various items, including the victim’s vehicle keys, the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered.

Jalen Dyson, a 21-year-old resident of Northeast D.C., was arrested on a DC Superior Court warrant on Monday and charged with Armed Robbery.
