D.C. Police Release Surveillance Footage of Gunman

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is actively seeking information regarding a suspect in a recent shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C.

The incident occurred on January 4th, around 4:06 p.m., in the 1600 block of Butler Street, Southeast. According to reports, a driver was targeted in what appeared to be an intentional shooting. While the victim escaped unharmed, the vehicle sustained damage. Following the attack, the perpetrator fled the area.

Surveillance footage has captured images of the suspect.

Police urge anyone with information about this shooting to refrain from direct intervention. Instead, they are requested to contact the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, tips can be sent anonymously via text to the Department’s dedicated tip line at 50411.
