D.C. Police Search for Carjacking Suspect Following Rideshare Disagreement Over Dog

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a carjacking that occurred on Sunday morning involving a rideshare driver.

At around 7:03 a.m., the driver picked up the suspect and a disagreement ensued over the suspect bringing a pet into the car. The conflict escalated, leading the suspect to assault the driver and steal the vehicle. The stolen car was later found in the 6000 block of Southern Avenue in Southeast, D.C.

A dashboard camera captured the suspect.
