D.C. Police Seek Vehicle Used in Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an effort to locate a vehicle involved in a recent shooting, the D.C. Metro Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance.

The incident occurred on August 6, at around 7:15 p.m., involving a suspect who drove past and fired shots at two victims sitting in a parked vehicle in the 4600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southwest. Fortunately, no one was injured during the shooting.

The vehicle suspected in this Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense was captured on surveillance camera. The police have released photos of the vehicle, hoping someone will recognize it and provide valuable information.

The public is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or send a text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411 if they have any information regarding this vehicle or the incident. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction
