D.C. Postal Worker Wins $1 Million on Scratch-Off During Unplanned Stop

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A U.S. Postal Service worker from Washington, D.C. struck it big with a $1 million win after an unplanned stop at a 7-Eleven in Harwood, Maryland.

The postal worker, who frequently crosses state lines to play Maryland Lottery scratch-offs, purchased a few tickets, including the $20 Millionaire’s Club game. Upon returning home, he scratched off the Millionaire’s Club ticket and discovered he had won the top prize of $1 million by matching the number 54.

The worker, who has been with USPS for 30 years, remained anonymous but expressed gratitude for his win, saying, “Thank you, Lord.” He hinted that retirement could be on the horizon and mentioned plans to pay off some bills with his newfound fortune.
