D.C. Shooting Claims Young Man’s Life

WASHINGTON, DC — The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred in Southeast Washington on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the 3500 block of A Street shortly before 8 a.m., to investigate a report of a person down. At the location police found 23-year-old Michael Delvaughn Hall with a critical gunshot injury. Despite immediate intervention, Hall succumbed to his wounds.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward and have provided a hotline at 202-727-9099, as well as a text tip line at 50411 for anonymous tips.
