Deadly Motorcycle Crash Claims One Life, Critically Injures Woman Passenger

HOWARD COUNTY, MD – Howard County Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred last Saturday.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., a 2006 Yamaha R6 was traveling north on Route 29 at Rivers Edge Road when it left the roadway for an unknown reason.

The operator, an adult male, and a female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

Both individuals were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The male operator succumbed to his injuries, while the female passenger remains in critical condition.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The name of the deceased will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
