Deadly Shooting in Bronx Leaves One Dead

BRONX, NY — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot on Sunday evening in the Bronx, according to the NYPD. The incident occurred at the intersection of Morris Avenue and East 174th Street, in the area of the 46 Precinct’s zone.

Police received a 911 call around 7 pm, reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Courtney Howell, with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services transported Howell from 745 Saint Ouen Street to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and further details have yet to be released.
