Deadly Shooting in Brooklyn Under Investigation

BROOKLYN, NY – Early Saturday morning, police were called to the scene of a shooting at 2975 Avenue W, located within the 61 Precinct/PSA #1. The incident, reported at approximately 2:58 AM, resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man.

Upon arrival, officers found Rahquill Weekes, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to his lower left back. Emergency Medical Services transported Weekes to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Weekes was a resident of 215 Wortman Avenue in Brooklyn. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation continues as authorities seek leads to apprehend the perpetrator.
