Deadly Shooting on Willowdale Drive; Suspect in Custody

FREDERICK, MD – Officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to reports of a firearm discharged inside an apartment on Willowdale Drive on August 23 at approximately 11:51 p.m. A suspect was apprehended exiting the apartment via a balcony without incident and taken into custody.Inside the apartment, a female victim was found with a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at Frederick Health Hospital.Detectives with FPD’s Major Crimes Unit have charged Kevin Eugene Mack, aged 42, with 1st Degree Murder in connection to the incident.
