YOUNGSTOWN, OH – A 22-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday morning on Youngstown’s South Side. The incident took place on the 1900 block of Midlothian Boulevard near Sheridan Road.
The Youngstown Police Department responded to the scene where evidence markers were scattered across the ground.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots before finding the victim on the sidewalk.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. No arrests have been made, but an investigation is underway.
The Youngstown Police Department and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office are collaborating on the case. The department is requesting public assistance for any relevant information.
