Delaware Man Arrested for Stepfather’s Murder in Long Neck

LONG NECK, DE – The Delaware State Police have apprehended 25-year-old Christopher Moran of Millsboro for the murder of his stepfather, Dennis Harmon. The incident occurred on June 2, around 10:33 PM, at the 25000 block of Redwing Lane in Rehoboth Shores.

Upon their arrival, troopers discovered 61-year-old Harmon with multiple stab wounds in a front yard. Despite life-saving efforts, Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation indicates that during an altercation, Moran repeatedly stabbed Harmon and then fled.

Moran was located walking in Rehoboth Shores shortly after and was arrested without further incident. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony. Following his arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 2, Moran was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,180,000 cash bond.
