Delaware Man Arrested for Wawa Robbery

MILLSBORO, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested 34-year-old Andrew Maccord in connection with a robbery at a Millsboro Wawa last Saturday morning.

That day, at around 3:05 a.m., troopers were called to the store where they learned that Maccord had attempted to steal the cash drawer.

Maccord entered the store wearing a disguise and tried to pry the cash drawer from the cashier’s hands after making a purchase. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, leaving the cashier unharmed.

Video surveillance helped detectives identify Maccord as the suspect. He was arrested at his apartment on Tuesday without incident.

Maccord was charged with Robbery Second Degree and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony. He was later released on a $4,000 unsecured bond.
