Delaware State Police Arrest Man with Stolen Vehicle in Claymont

CLAYMONT, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested Reginald Lloyd, a 35-year-old Wilmington resident, after he was found in possession of a stolen Nissan in Claymont.

The arrest occurred on November 29th, following a police response to a report of a stolen Nissan Altima in the area of Naamans Road and Ridge Road at around 3:15 p.m. A trooper located the white 2017 Nissan, which had New Jersey registration, parked and unoccupied in a lot on the 300 block of Ridge Road. Lloyd was observed exiting a store and returning to the car.

Upon identification, Lloyd was apprehended without any incident. A computer inquiry confirmed that the Nissan was reported stolen by the Mantua Police Department in New Jersey.

Lloyd was taken to Troop 1 and charged with receiving stolen property, a felony offense. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and subsequently released on a $2,000 secured bond after posting bail.
