Delaware State Police Arrest Two for Gun, Drugs Following Traffic Stop

WILMINGTON, DE – Early on Thursday morning, a routine traffic stop by a Delaware State Police trooper led to the arrest of 29-year-old operator, Olu Douglas of Wilmington, and the 28-year-old front passenger, Quadir Anderson of Newark. At around 1:19 a.m., the trooper noticed a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu, dark gray in color, violating traffic rules and speeding on A Street in the vicinity of South Market Street in Wilmington.

The subsequent stop and inspection led to the discovery of illegal substances and a firearm in the vehicle. The Delaware State Police have not yet disclosed further details about the incident.
