Delaware State Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Newark Walgreens

NEWARK, DE – The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place this morning at a Walgreens on Pulaski Highway.

On Tuesday, at approximately 8:07 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at 2719 Pulaski Highway. The preliminary investigation revealed that a black male suspect, armed with a firearm, approached a Walgreens employee and demanded money from the safe. The employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothing. Surveillance video and images of the suspect are not available at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Delaware State Police.
