LINCOLN, DE – On Sunday evening, Delaware State Troopers responded to a domestic dispute on Johnson Road.

Witnesses reported Kenneth Fisher, 49, possessing a handgun. Fisher attempted to escape from troopers and, when asked to show his hands, reached into his waistband.

This led a trooper to discharge a weapon, though no injuries were sustained. Fisher was apprehended and a revolver was retrieved from the scene.

Fisher faces multiple charges including firearm possession by a prohibited person and resisting arrest. He’s held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $21,000 bond.

An investigation into the domestic dispute continues and the trooper involved has been placed on administrative leave pending a review of the use of force.
