District Heights man shot and killed in Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD* – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning involving the 31-year-old victim, Duane Glenn, of District Heights.

At approximately 1:05 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Xenia Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights.

Upon arrival, officers found Glenn suffering from gunshot wounds outside the location.

He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify suspects in the case.

Authorities have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
