Do You Know Him? Elderly woman critically injured in Brooklyn hit-and-run, driver sought

Brooklyn, NY – A 76-year-old woman was left fighting for her life Tuesday morning after being struck by a truck in a Brooklyn crosswalk, police said.

The collision happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Avenue U. According to investigators, the victim was crossing the street when a white truck, driven by an unidentified man, struck her and continued southbound on Ocean Avenue without stopping.

The woman suffered serious injuries to her face, neck, back, and legs. EMS transported her to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where she remains in critical condition.

Police are searching for the driver and the vehicle involved. No arrests have been made.
