Do You Recognize Him? Newark Police Seeking Burglary Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect connected with a burglary that occurred early today, August 24, in the 30 block of Brookdale Avenue.

Police were called to the incident at approximately 1:06 a.m. The suspect was captured on surveillance video in the backyard of the victim’s home, moving a grill to gain entry through a rear window. The individual is described as having a medium brown complexion and was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, and tan construction boots at the time of the crime.

Director Fragé encourages anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). The department is keen to bring the individual to justice and appreciates the community’s support in this matter.
