Domestic Disturbance Leads to Arrest in Oxford

OXFORD, PA – On the evening of Saturday, Oxford Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on the 200 block of Penn Avenue.

Officers arrived at the scene at 9:38 pm, where they encountered 52-year-old Edwin Chapin of Oxford. Chapin requested the removal of a female from his property.

After interviewing both parties, it was established that Chapin had assaulted the female during the altercation, corroborated by visible injuries on the victim.

Chapin was arrested and taken to the Oxford Police for processing before being transferred to Chester County Prison by Constables.

Chapin, charged with simple assault and harassment, posted a $1000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 12, at the Oxford District Court.
