NEWINGTON, Conn. — Two lucky players won a combined $50,000 on a $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier scratch-off ticket purchased at a 7-Eleven store in Newington, according to Connecticut Lottery records.

The winning ticket was claimed on Friday, May 16, at the 7-Eleven located at 11479A in Newington. Both winners split the prize associated with the $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier game, each taking home a portion of the $50,000 award.

Connecticut Lottery officials confirmed the claim but did not release the names of the winners, which is standard policy unless the individuals choose to go public.

The $2,000,000 Mega Multiplier is a scratch game offering a top prize of $2 million and features multiple winning tiers, including several chances to win between $50 and $50,000.
