Double Shooting in Kensington Leaves Two Men Critically Wounded

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Early Saturday morning, a double shooting in Kensington left two men critically injured. Philadelphia Police report that the incident occurred around 4:42 A.M. on the 100 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

A 29-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds: two to his chest, one to his back, and one to his left side. He was transported to Temple Hospital in a private vehicle, where he is currently in critical condition.

Additionally, a 23-year-old man was shot once in the chest, once in the leg, and once in the arm. He was initially taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital and subsequently to Temple Hospital by private vehicle.

He too is listed in critical condition.

The motive behind this violent encounter is believed to be an argument. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered in connection with the shooting.
