Driver Carjacked by Armed Suspects in Glen Burnie

GLEN BURNIE, MD – Early Monday morning, at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers received a carjacking report from the 7100 block of Ritchie Highway.

The victim said they were parking next to a white Acura at the Wawa parking lot. Shortly after, an individual from the Acura approached, initially asking for the time.

Moments later, the same individual brandished a semi-automatic handgun, demanding the victim to exit his vehicle.

Following the victim’s compliance, five to six other suspects emerged from the Acura, commandeering the victim’s car and speeding away. The incident resulted in no injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 2005 white Acura, 4-door, with Maryland tag 8ET9839. Northern District detectives are asking anyone with information to reach out.
