Driver Charged in Deadly Hoover Crash

HOOVER, AL – Sarah Rose Tisdale, 34, of Hoover, faces charges of murder and reckless endangerment following a head-on collision in October that resulted in two fatalities. The crash occurred on October 31 at 6:19 A.M. on John Hawkins Parkway near Hunter Street Baptist Church.

Hoover 911 center received reports of the crash involving a Lexus RX 350 and a Nissan Rouge. The Lexus, heading west, veered into the eastbound lane, colliding with the Nissan. Teresa Roberts, 64, and George Roberts, 67, from Bessemer, Alabama, occupants of the Nissan, died at the scene. The Lexus driver was hospitalized with serious injuries, while a 3-year-old passenger received minor injuries.

Hoover Police Traffic Homicide investigators conducted a thorough reconstruction of the crash. Their investigation concluded that Tisdale was under the influence of multiple controlled substances during the incident. Based on these findings, the Jefferson County-Bessemer District Attorney’s Office issued warrants against Tisdale.
