Driver Identified in Fatal Upper Macungie Crash After Car Overturns in Embankment

Authorities have identified the driver who was tragically killed in a crash in Upper Macungie Township. Stephen La Pierre, a local resident, lost control of his vehicle around 10 p.m. while driving on Tilghman Street, causing the car to veer off the road and overturn into an embankment, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio.

La Pierre was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died from multiple blunt force injuries. The coroner has ruled his death an accident.

This devastating incident has left the Upper Macungie community in shock as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details may emerge as the investigation progresses.
