Police say the driver of a Ford F-150 died after a collision with another pickup early Thursday morning.
Chesapeake, VA – A morning crash involving two pickup trucks left one driver dead and another injured Thursday along Centerville Turnpike in Chesapeake.
Emergency crews responded around 6:40 a.m. to the 400 block of Centerville Turnpike South after reports of a collision between a Ford F-150 and a Ford F-250.

Life-saving efforts attempted at crash scene
When police and firefighters arrived, they found both damaged vehicles and first responders already attempting life-saving measures on the driver of the Ford F-150.
Chesapeake Fire Department personnel took over medical care and transported the victim to a local hospital.
Despite the emergency efforts, the driver was later pronounced dead.
Investigation underway as road remains closed
Authorities said the driver of the Ford F-250 suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
The Chesapeake Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is now investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.
Centerville Turnpike remains closed between the 400 and 500 blocks while investigators process the scene.
