Drug and Firearm Seizure in Traffic Stop

GLEN BURNIE, MD – A routine traffic stop on Tuesday, at about 10:50 p.m. led to a significant drug and firearm seizure by the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Officers stopped a black BMW for an equipment violation and discovered multiple illegal substances.

The substances included 11.85 grams of crack cocaine, 2.64 grams of heroin, four Vyvanse pills, and a bottle of liquid Methadone.

Additionally, a loaded .45 caliber pistol was seized.

Arrested were Ryan Anthony Smith, a 33-year-old male from Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Ellary Burnett, a 61-year-old male from Pasadena, Maryland.
