MAYS LANDING, NJ – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer has announced the guilty plea of Khaadim Abdullah, 28, from Mays Landing, for distributing a significant quantity of methamphetamine.
Abdullah pled guilty to the charge of Distribution of Methamphetamine in an Amount Greater than Five Ounces before Judge Kenneth T. Palmer, J.S.C. The State is seeking a 13-year sentence in New Jersey State Prison, with sentencing scheduled for February 23, 2024.
The conviction stems from a multi-agency operation in July and August 2022, involving the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Narcotics Strike Force, DEA, Homeland Security, NJ State Police, and local law enforcement units. This collaborative effort focused on combating the distribution of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin/fentanyl in Atlantic and Ocean Counties.
Surveillance identified three residences, two in Mays Landing and one in Atlantic City, used by Abdullah and associates for storing and distributing narcotics. On August 18, 2022, Abdullah was apprehended after a chase in Galloway Township, leading to search warrants executed at the identified residences.
The searches yielded approximately 14 ounces of methamphetamine, other illegal narcotics, a stolen handgun, and $14,900 in cash.
Abdullah, initially held in Ocean County Jail, was later released under New Jersey Bail Reform guidelines.
