Drunk Driver Crashes Into Pole, Blames Car, Arrested

Stafford, VA – Early this morning, residents in Stafford experienced road closures on Telegraph Road when a driver collided with a pole.

On Tuesday night, Deputy J.J. Suh responded to the accident scene around 10:12 p.m. after receiving reports that a vehicle had flipped, trapping the driver inside.

Upon arrival, Deputy Suh found a communications pole destroyed, hindering traffic flow. Following suspicions of alcohol involvement, the driver underwent field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. Cleanup efforts resulted in road closures until 8:34 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The man’s name was not released at this time.
