Drunken Seaford Man Knocking on Doors at Midnight Had Gun, Police Report

LAUREL, DE – The Delaware State Police arrested 35-year-old Jermaine Thomas of Seaford, Delaware, on charges of reckless endangering and gun offenses on Tuesday morning.

Just after midnight on that day, troopers responded to multiple reports of a man knocking on doors on the 34000 block of Susan Beach Road.

Upon arrival, troopers identified the man as Jermaine Thomas, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was concealing a firearm.

During his arrest, a struggle occurred resulting in Thomas’ firearm discharging in close proximity to the troopers. He was detained without further incidents and no injuries were reported. The firearm, later found to be stolen, was recovered on-site.

Thomas is currently detained at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $45,000 cash bond.
