Duquesne Woman Arrested Following Infant’s Death

DUQUESNE, PA – Allegheny County Police have apprehended 26-year-old Alisha Parker of Duquesne in connection with the death of her 3-month-old child.

In the early hours of Sunday, Duquesne Police responded to a call at the 300 block of Hemlock Alley. The male infant, found unresponsive, received immediate CPR attempts but was declared deceased at a hospital.

An autopsy by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified blunt force trauma to the head as the cause of death.

Investigations indicated that the injuries were inflicted by an adult. Parker, identified as the sole adult present during the incident, faces charges of criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.

She was taken into custody and held at the Allegheny County Jail.
