Early Morning Crash Leaves Three Dead, Road Closure in Paterson

Jersey City, NJ – At least three people have been killed in an early morning two-car crash in Jersey City. Witnesses after the crash reported a blue BMW SUV with an airbag deployed at Patterson Plank Road. The vehicle collided with a tan KIA which was pushed into a nearby retaining wall.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office reported multiple injuries. Officials say speed may have played a role in the crash. The crash happened on 9th Street.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area during this morning’s commute.

The names of the deceased have not been identified. Police did not release any further information.
