Early Morning Shooting in Maxton Leaves One Dead, One Injured

MAXTON, N.C. – An early morning shooting last Thursday in Maxton resulted in one fatality and another person being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Robeson County deputies responded to the 1100 block of Old Red Springs Road and found 18-year-old Jalyric Jones dead at the scene.

A second victim was located on the 2000 block of Red Hill Road and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Robeson County deputies are investigating the incident.
