East Harlem murder suspect arrested for second murder

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, Messiah Nantwi, a 21-year-old male from New York, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to a shooting that occurred in East Harlem on Saturday.

Nantwi was charged with a second murder previously.

Police responded to a 911 call at Madison Avenue and East 132nd Street, where they found a 19-year-old male shot in the head. The victim was transported to Harlem Hospital and pronounced deceased.

The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains ongoing, with law enforcement working diligently to uncover additional details.

Police have charged Nantwi with back to back murders.
