EAST MEADOW, NY — A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket, worth $50,000, was purchased in East Meadow, as announced by the New York Lottery.
The ticket from the April 27 drawing was sold at Pramukh 2294, located at 2294 Hempstead Turnpike.
Powerball numbers are selected from a pool of 1 to 69, with the Power Ball drawn from a separate pool of 1 to 26. Drawings for the Powerball occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 PM. Winners have a year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
