East Petersburg Man Charged with Possession of Child Images

EAST PETERSBURG, PA – On January 11th, 2023, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department (NLCRPD) received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding suspected child [censored]ography being uploaded and downloaded at a residence in the 6300 block of Carpenter St in East Petersburg. The NLCRPD Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

During the search, detectives discovered [censored]ographic images of children on electronic devices belonging to Jon Michael Leister, 46, of East Petersburg.

As a result, Leister was recently charged with two counts of Child Pornography (Felony 3rd) and one count of Criminal Use of Communication Facility (Felony 3rd). Leister is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and a court date has been set for his trial.
