BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – On Thursday, Michael T. Scheuerman, a 42-year-old East Rutherford resident, has been arrested and charged with third-degree possession of child [censored]ography. The arrest followed an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit. Scheuerman allegedly used the internet to view, download, and possess materials depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.

Scheuerman was remanded to Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. Prosecutor Mark Musella reminds the public that the charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
