ECB’s Lane says wages keeping up domestic inflation

FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Rising wages in the euro zone are keeping up domestic inflation in the euro area but salary growth should moderate in the coming months, European Central Bank chief economist Philip Lane said on Tuesday.

Speaking at an event in Vilnius, Lane added the ECB will only know if wage growth is indeed coming down as it expects around Easter next year.
