ECB’s Villeroy: no rush to cut rates, we should be patient

54th WEF annual meeting in Davos

PARIS (Reuters) – Even though the next move of the European Central Bank (ECB) will likely be an interest rate cut, there is no rush to do this and the ECB is prepared to be patient, said ECB member and Bank of France governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau.

“We should be patient,” he told Bloomberg TV on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
