NEW YORK, NY – Eight lucky New Yorkers from across the state each scored a top prize in Sunday night’s Take 5 evening drawing, with winning tickets sold everywhere from busy boroughs to quiet towns — each worth $3,896.50.
The New York Lottery announced that top-prize tickets were sold in Brooklyn, Elma, Elmhurst, Elmira, Jamaica, Manhattan, Queens Village, and South Ozone Park. The Jan. 7 evening drawing produced multiple winners, splitting the top prize evenly among all eight tickets.

Take 5 drawings are held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Players have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim any prize.
