Elderly Man Assaulted by Group at Brooklyn Subway Station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 76-year-old man was assaulted by a group of six women early Monday morning at the Rockaway Avenue subway station, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. when the victim was sitting on a bench on the subway platform. According to the New York City Police Department, five of the women approached the man and began punching and kicking his head.

One of the attackers then struck the victim in the head with a scooter, causing further injury. The group of women fled the station in an unknown direction following the assault.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
