Elderly Man Attacked and Robbed Inside Brooklyn Subway Station

BROOKLYN, NY — A 67-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by three unknown assailants at the Ditmas Avenue subway station on the “F” line early Friday. The incident, which occurred around 1:34 AM, began when one of the individuals punched the victim in the face on the mezzanine level, causing him to fall and injure his ankle.

After the initial assault, the attacker forcibly took the victim’s MetroCard and opened the emergency gate, allowing two more assailants to enter. One of these individuals also punched the victim before taking his cell phone. The trio then escaped by boarding a northbound “F” train. The victim received treatment for minor injuries at Coney Island Hospital.
