Manhattan, NY – A 67-year-old man was assaulted on a busy Upper East Side corner when an unidentified attacker repeatedly punched him before fleeing on an electric scooter, police said.
The incident occurred Sunday, September 21, at about 8:26 p.m. near East 67th Street and Third Avenue. According to reports, the victim was struck multiple times in the head and body before the assailant escaped northbound along Third Avenue.
The victim declined hospitalization following the attack.
Investigators are seeking a suspect described as a male with a light complexion and an afro. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants and carrying a neon-colored backpack.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
