Elderly man beaten in Brooklyn store after dispute, suspects flee

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 68-year-old man sustained serious injuries Thursday night after being assaulted by three unidentified individuals during a dispute at a store on Beverly Road, police said.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at 2918 Beverly Road, where the victim was standing in line when a verbal altercation began after one of the suspects shoved him. The situation escalated when the individual, joined by two others, repeatedly punched and kicked the victim.

The attackers fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction following the assault. Emergency medical services transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

Police have not released descriptions of the suspects as the investigation continues.

No arrests have been made, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
