Elderly Man Critically Injured in Queens Assault

QUEENS, NY – A 76-year-old man, identified as Mohammed Hossain of 88-10 173 Street, Queens, NY, has been critically injured following an assault that took place on Friday, April 5, 2024. The incident occurred around 3:35 PM at the intersection of 167 Street and Hillside Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the 107th Precinct.

According to police reports, Hossain was struck by an unidentified assailant, causing him to fall to the ground. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made as of yet, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The NYPD is actively seeking information from witnesses or anyone with knowledge about the incident to help identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for this violent assault.
