Elderly Man Punched While Waiting for Bus in Crown Heights

BROOKLYN, NY – An unknown male attacked a 77-year-old man waiting for a bus in front of 1339 Saint Johns Place, before fleeing on foot.

The incident occurred on Thursday at about 12:41 p.m., when the assailant approached the elderly man from behind and punched him in the head. The individual then fled westbound on Saint Johns Place in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a plaid jacket and tan pants.

Police are investigating the assault and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
