MOORE COUNTY, NC – A female was shot in the foot on the 700 block of Mount Carmel Road outside of Robbins on Monday.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields reported that around 8:15 p.m., an elderly man allegedly shot his daughter, who is also his neighbor, in the foot.
The incident occurred between their houses. After the shooting, the father returned to his home.
Deputies secured the firearm and detained the man without any issues. The daughter was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man, believed to have mental health issues, was also taken for evaluation. The investigation continues, with charges pending.
